This case study centers on a suspended sofa, weaving spatial fluidity and warmth through material contrasts, color harmonies, and human-centric design, illustrating how furniture can become the soul of a space.
Living Room | The Poetic Narrative of a Suspended Sofa
As the spatial focal point, this Italian full-grain leather suspended sofa embodies "levitation" as its design language. Hidden metal brackets create a visual lightness, engaging in dialogue with a curved rug.
The frame, crafted from North American FAS-grade oak, features carbonized treatment to accentuate deep growth rings, paired with 3cm-thick down filling and removable linen upholstery—balancing Nordic minimalism with Eastern "negative space" philosophy.
Its modular tiling design allows six independent modules to reconfigure into L-shapes, linear rows, or circular arrangements.
