When furniture transcends functional rigidity, it becomes a poet of space. In a 230㎡ modern residence, a sofa redefined by fluid curved geometry emerges as a "liquid sculpture" that challenges conventional domestic logic—
it serves as both a visual anchor in the living room and an extended stage in the dining area; a social mediator during gatherings and a private canvas in the bedroom.
Woven from Italian full-grain leather and cold-forged metal frameworks, this sofa employs movable modules and dynamic curves to craft a narrative of "the home evolving with life" within a restrained tonal palette.
Living Room: Liquid Spatial Syntax
The sofa’s curved silhouette resembles molten metal solidifying mid-flow, radiating tension across a white base. Italian full-grain leather, laser-engraved with waterwave textures, pairs with high-density foam cushions mimicking cloud-like softness, contrasting against suspended metal legs.
Rejecting traditional wall-aligned layouts, the sofa floats at a 30° tilt in the room’s center, spiraling in harmony with the black dendritic chandelier above. A circular marble coffee table (1.8m diameter), fired with low-temperature glaze to mimic lava fissures, engages in a material dialogue with the sofa’s hidden gold-thread stitching.
Sliding the table toward the sofa activates hidden grooves in its base, locking with the sofa’s gears to form a rotating "social halo."
Dining Area: Quantum Fusion of Function and Art
The sofa’s kinetic DNA transforms into a "growable dining table." Disassembling its curved modules and integrating them into a walnut dining table frame yields a 2.4m floating island: leather-clad curved edges echo the sofa’s wave-like texture, while hidden hydraulic legs adjust between 75cm (bar height) and 45cm (prepping height).
Matching chairs retain the sofa’s curved silhouette but substitute translucent acrylic backs for the seats’ memory foam and rattan composites, balancing warmth and coolness to redefine dining rituals.
Raised to maximum height, the sofa modules reconfigure into a circular seating ring, forming a closed-loop flow with the table—a testament to the designer’s ethos: "Space serves life."
Lounge: Modular Social Metamorphosis
The sofa’s modularity evolves into a "social metamorphosis." Four curved base units recombine into 4-seater islands, L-shaped meeting pods, or circular reading nooks:
replacing a leather module with transparent acrylic creates a floating "thought buoy"; rotating metal legs 15° exposes hidden magnetic rails for attaching standalone coffee carts.
The designer calculates social distancing with precision: 1.2㎡ per seat ensures 90cm elbow clearance; 25° curved corners balance non-confrontational sightlines with optimal sound reflection.
For impromptu cinema nights, sofa modules assemble into tiered seating, their diamond-quilted surfaces hiding LED strips that pulse in sync with film scenes.
Bedroom: The Theater of Privacy
The sofa’s ethos extends to "dramatized sleep" in the bedroom. The floating bedside console—a sofa leg variant—retains walnut frames with curved edges but drapes them in velvet, softening public coolness to private warmth.
The bed’s footstool becomes modular: four cylinders stack into a cabinet or split into side tables, their perforated surfaces echoing the sofa’s quilting, casting starburst shadows on walls. At dusk, hidden LEDs behind the headboard diffuse amber light through leather, contrasting with the living room’s cool glow.

To the designer, the sofa is a measure of life’s density: the 30° tilt, 75cm lifting range, and the equilibrium between cold-forged metal and laser-textured leather—all crystallize into poetic expressions of "spatial growth."
As the design manifesto declares: "The home is a liquid container, and the sofa is its liquid memory." When furniture learns to breathe, space gains an ever-evolving soul.
